A Trusted Community for Bay Area Private Equity Professionals
Founded more than a decade ago, the San Francisco Private Equity Network (SFPEN) is a non-profit networking organization dedicated to connecting private equity professionals across the San Francisco Bay Area. Established by Jordan Burbach, SFPEN was created to provide a space where professionals from across the private capital industry could gather, collaborate, and build lasting relationships through high-quality, in-person events.
What began as a small network of like-minded professionals has grown into a trusted forum for investors, dealmakers, and service providers seeking deeper connections in an increasingly complex industry. SFPEN’s strength lies in its focus on local relationships and long-term value, offering a meaningful alternative to large-scale, impersonal conferences.

SFPEN exists to support and strengthen the Bay Area’s private equity community by facilitating impactful connections between professionals who shape the future of private capital. Where Relationships Drive Returns
SFPEN hosts 8–10 high-quality events annually, ranging from industry panels and roundtables to informal mixers and networking socials. These gatherings are designed to connect professionals in a low-pressure, high-value setting, encouraging authentic conversations and new opportunities.
Each event is supported by a select group of sponsor organizations, ensuring that the experience remains focused, relevant, and community-driven. Our network is managed by a board of directors representing a cross-section of the region’s top private equity firms and financial professionals.
